Come and join us at our regular and special services as we begin the season of Advent and
look forward to Christmas.

Advent is a time of anticipation when we look forward to the ‘light of the world’ breaking
into a place of darkness and confusion as the Christ child is born in a stable in Bethlehem and
angels proclaim ‘glory to God and peace on earth.’

It is also a time when we anticipate the light of Christ shining afresh today, giving light and
new hope to a world so often in turmoil and distress, and look forward to the day when Jesus
will come again to chase away all that is dark And destructive.

Our Advent morning services will follow a series called ‘Holy Waiting’ in which we will
explore the waiting times in the Christmas story and how they might help us to understand
times of waiting in our own lives.
