Advent Choral Music by Candlelight
Saturday 2nd December, 7.30pm
An evening of Advent music for voices presented by Rachel Lindley and friends. A concert by candlelight of traditional and new music to begin the Advent season.
Retiring collection for St Stephen’s music and ‘Youth Music’
Saturday 9th December, 3pm
A family Advent activity service.
Craft, stories and worship for children and adults.
All ages welcome
Including cake and refreshments.
This is a fun and interactive service in which we will explore the Advent hope that leads us to the Bethlehem stable.
Morning services during Advent
‘Light it up’
Sundays 3rd – 24th December, 11am
Finding and being light in a dark world. This series will explore the beginning of the Gospel according to John and help us think about how we can be light in today’s world.
Advent evening services
‘Waiting and Watching’
Sunday 3rd December, 6.30pm
A service of image and reflection. Using images and music this service will explore the Advent calling to ‘wait and watch.’
‘Worship and Wonder’
Sunday 10th December, 6.30pm
A service of Taizé prayer and worship. Using reflections and the music of the Taizé community, we journey into wonder as we worship almighty God, incarnate in the child of Mary.
Family Candlelight Carol Service
Sunday 17th December, 4.00pm
Come and hear the Christmas story at this service for all ages.
Children are invited to come dressed as Nativity characters.
This is a fun family service by candlelight with lots to enjoy for all ages.
Christmas Eve, 4pm
A fun service for children and adults telling the Christmas story and adding the figures to our Christmas crib. Children are welcome to come dressed as Nativity characters.
The service will last for 40 minutes.
Christmas Eve, 11.30pm
A traditional Christmas Communion service.
Christmas Day, 11am
A Family Christmas Service with short Communion to follow.
This is a service for all ages.
Bring something from your Christmas stocking to share with us.
There will be a short Communion service for those who wish to stay.
